***A Note About Carrageenan
“Carrageenan increases free radicals. It is a polysaccharide made from a seaweed, the substance is known to produce intense inflammatory reactions when injected into tissues. In fact, the intense reaction is so reproducible it is used when researchers want to study inflammation. Inflammation is strongly associated with intense free-radical production within tissues. It also may promote accelerated bowel cancer growth.” Carrageenan is used as a thickener. When even small amounts of carrageenan are injected near developing tumors in animals, tumor growth, and eventual metastasis, increases dramatically1.”

I’m supersensitive to MSG, and McDonald’s is one of the few fast food places I can go to eat – at least most of the time. In Washington DC at least, the katsup McDonald’s uses seems to be (unlike that made by Heinz) MSG-free. Not true of the pickles. So I take the pickles out and order a small hamburger. Recently in another state, however, this seemed not to be true, and I got an immediate headache from the regular hamburger.
Anyone else have any other info to share on menu items that are OK?
Not gonna lie, the title of this post made me giggle.
Barbara, I agree. McDonald’s is one of the few fast food places I can get a good, fast hamburger without seasonings already put in. I just request no salt, pepper or seasonings and have never had a problem. The other safe fast food place for me is Wendy’s (hamburgers only).
In fast food industry I think there’s no safe place, yesterday my wife wanted to go with the kids to Macdonald’s, I toke a mcchiken and now I’m her writing in the midle of the night investigating about the ingredients put in, my sleepiness went away and I am with itchy skin all over my bodie
I knew because my reaction that it had a toxic ingredient in the Macdonald hamburger I took last night and again I know that it’s the MSG causing me problems (beside other toxics I guess), months ago I eat in the night fried chicken strips of Walmart and I could’nt sleep all night, (yes it has msg in all the fried hot food they sell over the counter) when I was almost sleeping a nervous feeling in my body awake me up every time, this was so sick and frustrating that I’m checking every product for MSG, aspartame and their other hiding names and yes some times I miss one of them like yesterday. I hate that government don’t do nothing about it cos is damaging our bodies and brains. Gays be aware when you buy of the aditives contained in all the products you buy, those are like a litle poison added, and I know they don’t care about our health only for the money”"”
Just another quick note since the fast food thing is on here. STOP EATING IT PEOPLE!! Nothing is an accident here people. It never has been. I went by Carls Jr. to get a bannana chocolate chip shake the other day, I know I just said stay away from them, but Those are f***ing good! Anyway, I get 2 the window, pay the rude minor, & wait. I look up, and way above the window, where you can barely see it, is that O so familiar sign we see on gas pumps, actually stores everywhere since 1986, due to prop. 65: “WARNING: These products contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.” REALITY CHECK!! When the lil punk came back with the shake, I asked for a refund & bounced. He looked confused, and I looked like an ass, but so what! Went home and made my own, it took some time, and didn’t taste as good, but I had to pass. I’ve had biopsy’s before, and at NO point did I have fun. So I ask you, with all you’ve read and heard, would you let your children eat that, for any reason? I leave you with this quote,” Hey, sewer rat may taste like pumpkin pie, but I’d never know ’cause I wouldn’t eat the filthy motherfucker.”
just cause it has Gluten doesnt mean it has MSG, those are two different things
I can’t believe people on here actually think McDonald’s and Wendy’s are somewhat healthy!!!!! You all should do some research on what you’re putting into your bodies! This stuff cannot even be classified as food. It’s all substitutes, flavorings and chemicals and other things that do not belong in a healthy body!
Check this out!

I have trouble eating at the fast food places, which use msg and other sources of hidden free glutamate. One fast food restaurant in particular that I would eat at often , because of convenience and work schedule, I experienced alot of the symptoms of MSG posoining. I have experienced Restless leg syndrome, dry mouth, chronic coughing, etc, but what made me really feel bad was the anxiety attacks. The anxiety attacks were the worst and I almost despaired of living. I finally figured it out what was causing it by looking at ingredients of what I had eaten when I had anxiety and other symptoms. Did some research on the web. I’ve pretty much stopped going to the main stream fast food restaurants and read ingredients more and the anxiety has gone away as well as the other symptoms. Not everybody experiences the anxiety, but those of us who do it can take a while till we figure out what is doing it. It took me 5 years. Others is has taken 20 years. I would imagine some people never figure it out, and live the rest of their lives not able to correlate msg to their health problems.
