Wow D...really?
MSG is not naturally found in breast milk, where did you find that information? If it is found in breast milk, it is probably the by-product from the mother eating massive amounts of food containing the product. You should really do your research before saying a product is safe, when it clearly is not.

Hi D,

I have to correct you. MSG is not a "salt", sorry, you're just plain wrong. MSG is free L-glutamate with the addition of salt. The salt means almost nothing. If salt were the primary mechanism there wouldn't be any controversy. The salt is riding in the sidecar, L-Glutamate is the driver. It's safe and makes food better? That's your opinion, not a fact. If you will peruse the posts on this site you will run across the medical studies showing obesity of rodents fed MSG by Dr. John Olney. You will find Russell Blaylock M.D. a board certified neurosurgeon for over 20 years speaking of how it destroys the brain cells, causes lesions on the hypothalamus, and causes havoc in the the numerous glutamate receptors located in the body. Please educate yourself before speaking. The only thing you got right is that HFCS and Splenda are bad, except the fact that you spelled molecule, margarine and Splenda wrong. You also need to understand the difference between d-glutamate and l-glutamate. One is bound by the protein the other is not bound (free floating). When you break the protein peptide links the glutamate becomes problematic in large amounts such as what is found in processed food with MSG added. You need to learn the difference before spreading misinformation.

Listen, MSG is safe, it's in all natural proteins. Mushrooms have a huge MSG content, and so does a mothers milk, even in humans. Stop this, MSG had been tested for more than 50 years, it's safe and makes food better, it's a salt. The real problem is canola oil and high fuctose corn syrup, niether are naturally occurring like MSG. Margerine is one molicule from plastic. Slenda is really nasty.

20 years ago I was experiencing extremely severe headaches that lasted 2 - 3 days and dizzy spells. Doctors could not help and wanted to simply dope me up. Thank God I found out about MSG and once I began avoiding it my symptoms practically disappeared! Occasionally I may miss a hidden ingredient, and still get the terrible headache but it is rare. I basically read every label when I food shop. It is worth the effort!
